The Cygnus Wall

Another night of data to add to the North American Nebula from the last post, creating a two frame mosaic revealing more of the yellow stripe of gas, that I have since realised is the Wall of Cygnus.  Now rotated to its correct orientation the image is also revealing more of the North and South America shapes. The left hand side of this image is missing the SII data which I  hope to collect tonight – so Ha has been mapped to both Red and Green – which is why the gas is looking a bit more vivid yellow than the right hand side.

Annoyingly each time a  frame is added to the mosaic the overlap isn’t 100% exact so a portion of the Wall from the orignal image has had to be cropped out.
